The city of Fairfield is in shock following the sudden passing of Jordan Allen on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Jordan was far more than an elite athlete; he was a husband, a community organizer, and a man of deep faith and kindness who made everyone he met feel like a lifelong friend.
From Armijo High to Neyland Stadium
Jordan’s journey through the world of sports was nothing short of legendary. At Armijo High School, he was a multi-sport powerhouse, setting records in track and earning All-League honors in basketball. However, it was on the gridiron where Jordan truly shone. Standing 6’4″ and weighing 210 lbs, his rare combination of size and a 4.52-second 40-yard dash made him a nightmare for defenders.
His hard work at City College of San Francisco paved the way to Neyland Stadium, where he suited up as a Tight End (#97) for the University of Tennessee Volunteers. Even after his time in Knoxville, the “VFL” (Vol For Life) spirit remained at the core of who he was.
A Voice for the People
While his physical stats were impressive, his community contributions were historic. Jordan was the driving force behind peace marches in Fairfield, leading citizens from Laurel Creek Park to the courthouse. Neighbors remember him not just for his strength, but for his thoughtfulness and his ability to lead with a gentle, well-spoken authority.

In Loving Remembrance
Jordan leaves behind a beautiful wife, his mother Lisa, his grandmother, and a wide circle of friends and family who describe him as having a “beautiful soul.” He was a man who loved his nephew and brother fiercely and was always the first to offer a smile or an encouraging word at the gym.
