The Frisco community is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Elizabeth Angle, 16, who died on Sunday, January 25, 2026, following a sledding accident near Majestic Gardens Drive. Elizabeth was a vibrant member of the Frisco community, a dedicated athlete, and a student at Wakeland High School.

Athletic Legacy and Resilience
Elizabeth was widely known for her talent and heart on the soccer field. She was a key player for FC Dallas 2009G (#3), where she excelled as a center back. Her coach, Luis Ramos, remembered her as a “calm voice” and a “steady step” on the defensive line.
Despite facing a significant setback with a broken ankle that required surgery, Elizabeth demonstrated immense resilience. She worked through a difficult healing process to return to the field stronger, earning the respect of her teammates and coaches for her grit and unwavering spirit. At Wakeland High School, she was a member of the JV 2 Soccer team (Class of 2028).
Community Remembrance
Elizabeth’s impact extended far beyond the soccer field. She was a cherished friend and teammate. Friends and family describe her as a protector—both in the game and in life.
